"Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter”

Martin Luther King Jr.

We live in times when violence it seems knows no frontiers and in these brutal times we know that every cry for peace must be heard, every voice of dissent strengthened and every democratic space reaffirmed and it is to this that we add our voice.

This year as you celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Communalism Combat, know that many of us believe in and support what you do. In your own way you have, over the last 10 years, broken silences about things that matter. Know that you have provided spaces not just for victims and suffering but also for resistance and new hope.
