To Dr Manmohan Singh,
Hon’ble Prime Minister of India
September 2, 2008
Our attention has been drawn to a serious situation arising out
of the strengthening of some fascist organisations and the growing failure of
the government to tackle them. The famous film producer Mr Mahesh Bhatt, Justice
(retd) BG Kolse Patil, RB Sreekumar, former DGP, Gujarat, and Teesta Setalvad
recently highlighted this matter. Their findings are attached herewith for your
personal attention and some effective and conscious action.
It has been said that it is proved that there was a link between
the 2007 blast cases in Nanded, Parbhani, Purna and Jalna. The recent barbaric
attacks against Christians in Orissa are a direct result of instigation by known
VHP-RSS leaders. Besides, names of the Sanatan Sanstha, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti
and Guru Kripa Pratisthan came up in the Thane and Panvel blasts in 2008. It is
also a fact that the Jammu Sangharsh Samiti’s convenor, Leela Karan Sharma, and
Swami Dharmesh are reportedly members of the Sanatan Sanstha.
Those at the press conference alleged that the above-mentioned
neo-fascist organisations are engaged in getting training in arms, bomb-making
and bomb explosion at the Bhonsala Military School in Nagpur. The Bajrang Dal is
training people to attack minorities in different parts of the country. They are
planting bombs in mosques in the guise of Muslim terrorists. An explosion took
place in Laxman Rajkondwar’s house in April 2006 and he is an RSS activist. But
the CBI is trying to conceal all such information to protect these fascists.
They are ignoring clear leads on various blasts which distinctly identify sangh
parivar activists. The recent Kanpur blast during bomb-making proved the
involvement of the Bajrang Dal. The attack and killings of Christians in Orissa
is planned and executed by the Bajrang Dal and a more dangerous trend is that
more and more misguided people are joining in these communal attacks against
minorities.
They also said that the CBI is planfully covering up these
terror networks of majority communal forces. They indicated that the CBI is
influenced by such communal activities. So instead of exposing and crushing them
they are covering up their crimes. They asked certain valid questions which are
very serious in nature and cannot be ignored at all. The attitude of soft
communalism in some political forces and the administration is a dangerous
challenge to the existence of minorities and the secular fabric of our country.
They also demanded to constitute an official tribunal of three sitting Supreme
Court judges to oversee the investigations into terror crimes. All types of
terrorist activities – minority or majority – must be destroyed. They also
proved that the Bajrang Dal and VHP are equally terrorist organisations with
others which are active in the country and made a case for their ban.
In the interest of national unity and the integrity of our
country and people, to protect all minorities in the country, to isolate and
punish all kinds of fascist forces, to rescue government machinery from the
influence of communal forces, to clear the CBI from the cloud of their role
vis-à-vis communal fascists, you have to take serious action. I would request
you to take personal initiative to face this new challenge by the neo-fascist
forces.
I am forwarding the notes by these prominent persons for
scrutiny and inquiry into all the issues raised in their notes marked "A" to
"M". We need answers to all these questions and the government’s view, attitude
and action on all these matters.
I hope you will look into it and take appropriate action and let
the whole nation know in what way you are going to combat this menace.
