Dear Friends,
Greetings from PVCHR,Varanasi,India. A huge conference on Dalits and Tribals is
being organise in the city of Varanasi by National Commission of SC & ST .
However prior to that the RSS having a secret conclave to plan strategy against
Chiristians. PVCHR is strongly against any attempt to involve religion in
politics and oppose strongly any attempt to saffronise Dalit & Tribals and any
issues connected with their affairs. Though it is a coalition partner with the
ruling BSP party of Ms.Mayawati, the number of atrocities against DALITS ,Tribals
and other
marginalised caste is increasing day by day including killing of innocent Dalits
and Tribals in False Police Encounters after first trapping them in false
cases.The caste bias of the local Administration and Police Force has been
clearly brought out in the final report of the recently conducted INDIAN PEOPLES
TRIBUNAL , which is being attached herewith.In the nearby Distrit of Mirzapur,
Chandauli and Sonabadra there exist almost Three lacs of Tribals who have been
declared as SCs when in fact they should have been declared as STs.In other
states Khols and Karwas who constitute Tribals have been declared in other
states as STs.The state of UP does not have any Human Rights Commission tilldate.
A recent example is that Administration's behavior with the RAMON MAGSAYSAY
Award winner Mr.Sandeep Pandey who had organised a meeting against Communalism
in Faizabad .The State Terrorist arrested 76 people from this meeting on the
25th of Sept but the Judiciary released them on the 26th of August , a clear
indication of the misuse of power by the State to please Communalist and Facist
like the RSS AND VHP.
